Sunday, April 2 we left from Walnut Hill Park bound for Nepaug Res in Burlington on a warm, sunny day. Traffic wasn't bad as we passed thru Cooks Gap to the College Hwy. After cutting thru an industrial park we were on the rural New Britain Ave, Unionville.
Beyond Unionville, we took more gentle New Rd instead of Huckleberry Hill Rd. Mark decided to bypass LaSalle Market on the way out in preference to stopping on our return, so we rode along the river on SR179 to US202. After climbing the hill on US202 we turned into the closed road that crosses the Nepaug dam.
